IZZY TV Adds Two Acclaimed Teen Dramas from Paramount’s Ananey Studios to Its Catalog

IZZY TV has acquired two acclaimed teen dramas from Paramount’s Ananey Studios, Spell Keepers and The Greenhouse, further expanding the companies’ relationship. The deal follows IZZY’s previous acquisition of Palmach-Rising, which is currently available on the platform.

Spell Keepers (150 X 22’), winner of the Israeli Academy Award for Best Kids & Teens Drama and produced by Paramount’s Ananey Studios, originally aired on yes TV in Israel and is set to stream on IZZY TV from July 16.

The hit teen fantasy drama follows Kirki, a spirited and independent teenager who discovers on her sixteenth birthday that she has been chosen to join the Spell Keepers, a secret society of good witches. Her long-lost fraternal twin sister, Layla, is due to be crowned the society’s leader, but an unexpected twist places Kirki in her stead. As Kirki learns that her destiny is to stop the Gromals – vicious supernatural creatures plotting to enslave humanity and take over the world – Layla secretly joins their efforts in a bid to dethrone her sister.

Spell Keepers became a major hit among young audiences on yes TV. The series has been licensed to several international broadcasters, including Nickelodeon Poland and Belgium’s Medialaan.

 

The Greenhouse (175 X 22’), a three-time Israeli Academy Award winner produced by Paramount’s Ananey Studios, will launch on IZZY TV as a back-to-school title on September 3. After losing their mother in a spaceship crash, a brother and sister arrive at The Greenhouse, an elite boarding school for the nation’s most promising young leaders. Assigned to rival houses, they are soon drawn into a secret investigation that uncovers a dangerous conspiracy threatening the country. To stop it, they must put their differences aside and work together.

Originally commissioned by yes, The Greenhouse became one of the most successful kids’ and teens’ drama series ever broadcast in Israel. The series was sold internationally, and its format was later adapted by Netflix as Greenhouse Academy.
