Sigal is a very loving and very intrusive mother – she loves her children so much that she won’t let them take a single step on their own. Until one day, Mili is accepted into the volleyball team and decides to put an end to it: no moms allowed here! But Sigal is not a mom who gives up easily…

When Sigal, after a series of comedic attempts to keep herself in the picture, inadvertently becomes the assistant coach of the team, she’s forced to learn how to balance her need to be involved with respecting Mili’s growing autonomy.

Sidelines Mom is a hilarious, heartwarming show about letting go, growing up, and finding the humor in the chaos of family life. It’s a sitcom about parent-child relationships – about a mom who can’t let go, a daughter who’s ready to spread her wings, and the way mothers try to guide their daughters through the twists and turns of adolescence, but also understand that they must let them walk on their own. The series steps onto the volleyball court and brings to the screen the world of competitive sports (for girls). Through the challenges the girls face on the court, the viewer is exposed to the challenges, drama, and fun of the sports.
